Tuesday, 11 April 2017 | Anonym

Team Australia will be on show in Suva (FIJ) this June after Athletics Australia and Queensland Athletics today confirmed a team of more than 150 athletes for the 2017 Oceania Athletics Championships.

Featuring able-bodied and para-athletes aged under 18, under 20 and open, the team will be the largest to compete in the green and gold this year, as Australia’s contingent takes on athletes from across the Pacific region for the title of Oceania champion.

Competition at the ANZ Stadium commences on 28 June and spans four days, with complete Championships details, including the draft timetable, available by clicking here.

The Oceania Athletics Championships is a biennial competition that welcomes athletes from national federations of the Oceania Athletics Association.

At the 2015 Oceania Athletics Championships, held in Cairns (Qld), Australia won 12 gold, 13 silver and seven bronze to sit atop the open medal tally.
