Australian superstar Sally Pearson has won the final of the women's 60m hurdles at the ISTAF Indoor Meet in Berlin on Sunday morning (Australian time).
In her first indoor race since winning the 2012 IAAF World Indoor Championships 60m hurdles crown almost two years ago, Pearson ran a world-leading 7.79 in her heat.
Pearson then followed that up with an easy victory in the final in a time of 7.80m before a crowd of 10,000 people at Berlin’s O2 World Arena.
The meet was part of her final preparations for the 2014 IAAF World Indoor Championships in Sopot, Poland which start on 7 March.
Pearson said after the race on her Facebook page that she was “happy” with her form in Berlin.
