how ANQ can assist athletics at schools

1. Coaching

b) ANQ can organise kids athletics coaches to attend your school as part of the Sporting Schools program.

c) Use Find A Coach database to find a local coach in your area.

Please contact us to organise a coach for your school or kids athletics programs.

2. Equipment Hire - LEARN MORE
Athletics North Queensland has a range of athletics equipment available for hire for local schools and organisations in the North Queensland Region. This hassle free service ensures the equipment requested is easily available on the day required. The equipment is regularly maintained for school / club competition standard. An ANQ staff member would also be able to assist you with any questions or concerns on weight implements for different ages, the running of the carnival and athletics rules/regulations.

3. Coaching Courses

Throughout the year, ANQ coordinates numerous coaching courses in the North Queensland Region as part of the Athletics Coach Accreditation Framework.

The Athletics Coach Accreditation Framework is designed to progressively introduce the coaching skills required to develop athletes from beginner to elite. In this way the coaching pathway mimics the athlete’s pathway. The framework is designed to allow coaches of all levels to master their coaching, be it at the beginner level or the advanced level.

Please see Coach Education for further information.
