This course instructs coaches how to follow the Teaching Games for Understanding model, especially its athlete-centred pedagogy, and introduces the most critical components of developing physical literacy in beginning athletes to prepare them for future Track and Field success, which must be understood before event-specific coaching can be developed. 

The Level 1 Community Athletics Coach is the entry point to become an Accredited Athletics Coach with the National Coach Accreditation Scheme within Australia.  This course will help anyone who wishes to progress their involvement in the sport and be recognised and assessed as a competent Accredited Athletics Coach.  It aims to help a beginning coach to coach beginning athletes.  Please click here for further information.
