Tableland Athletics would like to invite all athletes in FNQ to our Interclub Pentathlon Day, which is held at the Tolga Reserve, Kennedy Highway, Sunday 30^th August. Nominations close Tuesday 25^th August. All athletes 6 years and above to Masters compete in a fixed 5-event program. A tetrathon is offered to 4 and 5 year olds. There is also a Throws Pentathlon, consisting of hammer, shot put, discus, javelin and weight throw. The Throws Pentathlon will be limited to the first 20 nominations received and athletes must be 14 and above to compete. Day registered athletes (not currently registered to any club) are welcome to attend but are required to join Tableland Athletics as an honorary member using the below link to Tableland Athletics. Participation medals for all U6 athletes only. There will be no trophies or medals this year due to COVID social distancing and congregating rules. Any records broken will be recognised in the 2021 Pentathlon Handbook. A basic canteen will be in operation throughout the day, including breakfast. A coffee van with EFTPOS will be on site all day.

Due to COVID restrictions we cannot guarantee the events we propose will take place and may be replaced with alternate events where and when practical. How track events are performed (all lanes in use or every second lane only) will depend on COVID restrictions at the time. All age groups will begin at 9.00am with the exception of Hammer for the Throws Pentathlon which will begin at 8.20am. Event times for all age groups will be available once nominations and COVID restrictions are finalised.

ALL non-competing persons attending the Interclub Pentathlon Day are required to register as a volunteer on either your child’s club RevSport portal or on the Tableland Athletics link below (this is free and includes insurance cover). This also includes spectators. Once registered as a volunteer with RevSport you can nominate as a volunteer (not an athlete) to attend. This new protocol is in place for contact tracing should a COVID case develop.
