North Queensland All Schools Team

The Australian All Schools Championships, organised by Athletics Australia, is the pinnacle event for school-aged athletes in track and field. This prestigious three-day competition showcases individual brilliance with medals awarded across various events and celebrates state pride through team trophies.

Athletics North Queensland has proudly represented the region at this national event since 2022. In 2024, over 100 talented athletes from North Queensland competed, achieving remarkable personal bests and earning medals along the way. This championship serves as an incredible pathway for school-aged athletes from North Queensland, providing them with the opportunity to experience high-level competition and inspire their athletic journeys.

How to Qualify for the National All Schools Championships
School-based athletes aged 12–17 years can qualify to compete at the National All Schools Championships by participating in either or both the North Queensland Championships 26-28th of September 2025 and the Queensland All Schools Athletics Championships, held in Brisbane.

Athletes who meet the qualifying standards will either represent the North Queensland team or the Queensland team, ensuring all participants have the chance to showcase their talents on a national stage. This dual pathway allows North Queensland athletes to maximise their opportunities and strive toward their athletic goals.

Regional Australia Team

The Regional Australia Team is an invitational squad established to support athletes from remote and northern parts of Australia, providing a platform to compete at both national and international levels. The program is designed to nurture emerging talent by offering meaningful competition experience and opportunities to showcase their potential on a broader stage.

The next opportunity for the squad will be the 2025 Oceania Cup, taking place in Nuku’alofa, Tonga, on October 30–31. This event continues the team’s mission of enabling high-level competition access for athletes from remote communities while promoting development, cultural exchange, and international camaraderie.

In 2024, the team proudly represented regional Australia at the Oceania Athletics Championships in Suva, Fiji, with 75 athletes delivering outstanding performances.
