
North Queensland Cross Country Championships
The 2023 ANQ Cross Country Championship will be held in Galbraith Park in Cannon Valley in the Whitsundays, Queensland on Sunday, 19 March. This Championship is hosted by Whitsunday Running Club
The race precinct is on the southern side of Galbraith Park Drive situated between Galbraith Creek and Saltwater Creek.
Galbraith Park Drive is the first turning to the left as you enter Cannonvale before the first set of traffic lights. The Whitsunday Shopping Plaza that houses Woolworths, Harvey Norman and Big W is situated in Galbraith Park Drive at its intersection with Shute Harbour Road.
There is ample on-street parking on Myer Lasky Drive and at the Whitsunday Shopping Plaza.

Program
The day will consist of seven races with a mix of age categories and event distances. Champions will be awarded medals in each of the age categories.
Race One 7:00 am Start of 10km (5 laps) for Open Women and Men (born 2003 or earlier)
Race Two 8:00 am Start of 8km (4 laps) for Under 20 men (born 2004-2005) and Master’s Men 30-39/40-49/50-59/60-69
Race Three 8:45 am Start of 6Km (3 laps) for Under 17/18 Boys (born 2007/2006), Under 20 Women (born 2004-2005), Masters Women 30-39/40-49/50-59/60-69/70+ and Master’s Men 70+
Race Four 9:30 am Start of 4km (2 laps) for Under 17/18 Girls (born 2007/2006), Under 15/16 Girls (born 2009/2008) and Under 15/16 Boys (born 2009/2008)
Race Five 10:00 am Start of 3km (1x2km plus 1x1km) for Under 12 Girls (born 2012), Under 12 Boys (born 2012), Under 13/14 Girls (born 2011/2010) and Under 13/14 Boys (born 2011/2010)
Race Six 10:30 am Start of 2km (1 lap) for Under 11 Boys and Girls (born 2013)
Race Seven 10:45 am Start of 1km (1 lap) for Under 7/8 Boys and Girls (born 2017/2016) and Under 9/10 Boys and Girls (born 2015/2014)
Presentations Final presentations will be held at 11:00 am
