Athletics North Queensland will be conducting a Level 2 Officials Course in Townsville.  Without the support of officials who volunteer their time and expertise we would be unable to run competitions and our sport would not run effectively.  We would encourage anyone thinking about getting involved in officiating to do this course. 

 The course will cover many aspects of officiating including:

• General Rules
• Event Specific Rules
• Applying the rules
• Safety
• Recording
• Records

By doing this course you will be able to officiate at school and club competitions.  We would like to get as many people as possible to qualify as officials, to ensure all events in our region are run at a high standard.

There is a theoretical and practical component to this course.  You will not pass the course until you have completed the practical component of the course.

PLEASE NOTE:  A minimum amount of numbers are required for this course to proceed.  All appropriate Covid_19 guidelines will be followed.  Participants must be 14 years and older to attend this course.

WHERE:  Saturday 15th August – Townsville Sports House

                Sunday 16th August 2020 – Kirwan High School (Athletics oval)

COST:   ANQ registered members – $20, Non ANQ registered members – $40

• Pen and paper
• Sunscreen, hat, water and appropriate clothing for the practical component of the course
